About the game
Spot Difference is a small, independently maintained collection of picture puzzles. Compare two scenes, find five changes and come back for a new challenge each day.
Our content
The themed collection includes a harbor, woodland picnic, curiosity study, reading room, bakery table, mountain lake and old town tram. Difficulty changes the complexity of the scene and the size of the differences.
The initial collection contains clearly labeled, original sample illustrations. Each pair is created with five controlled changes, and each answer describes those changes. These samples must be replaced with reviewed publication artwork before a production launch. New content is prepared one week at a time.
Privacy on your device
The game stores completed puzzle dates, consecutive puzzle-date streaks and best times in your browser's localStorage. These records are not sent to a server. Clear your browser's site data to erase them. Private browsing or blocked storage may prevent records from being saved; you can still play.
There are no accounts, analytics scripts or advertising scripts in this MVP. Your hosting provider may retain ordinary web request logs under its own privacy policy.
Playing accessibly
On a keyboard, focus a picture, move the crosshair with the arrow keys, and press Enter or Space to select a spot. Written solutions accompany the answer image on every archived puzzle page.
The daily schedule
The website uses UTC dates. New pages are rebuilt by the scheduled workflow at 00:05 UTC. If a build fails, the last successful static deployment remains available.
